WHO THEY ARE
Skate Ontario is the provincial governing body for figure skating in Ontario, overseeing development pathways, competitions, and coaching standards for skaters across the province.
MISSION / FOCUS
To develop and govern figure skating in Ontario by supporting athletes, coaches, and clubs from introductory levels through to high performance. Its focus is on creating a safe and structured environment that fosters technical development and lifelong participation in skating.
THEIR WORK WITH ICSN
Skate Ontario’s alignment with ICSN is primarily around access and affordability in a technical sport environment. Their Para skating development and inclusion-focused programming reflect ICSN’s goal of ensuring that participation is not limited by ability, cost, or background.
