OPHEA is a non-profit organization that supports health and physical education across Ontario’s school system by providing curriculum resources, training, and program support for educators.
To support educators in delivering high-quality health and physical education that promotes lifelong wellness habits among students. Its focus is on equipping schools with curriculum tools and resources that improve physical literacy, mental wellbeing, and healthy lifestyle behaviours.
OPHEA sits closer to the education and prevention side of ICSN’s ecosystem. Its curriculum resources and school-based programming align with ICSN’s focus on embedding inclusion, health, and physical literacy early in youth development. The overlap is strongest in how both organizations use structured programming to influence long-term behaviour and participation in sport and activity.
